Lissa and Michael’s story is truly a tale about love at first sight. Fall 2009 is when Lissa first spotted Michael on his college campus. After returning back to work that day, Lissa told a friend how she met this handsome guy and his name is Michael. Turns out her friend was actually a mutual friend with Michael! For the next 6 months, Lissa had a secret crush and little did she know that in fall of 2013 Michael would propose on a mountain top.

Every year Lissa and Michael plan a trip to Colorado to visit family and friends. This trip didn’t seem out of the ordinary, which is exactly what Michael wanted. On the second day of their trip, Michael convinced Lissa, Lissa's brother and his girlfriend that it would be great to go up on Pikes Peak. Lissa also convinced the group that they didn’t need to buy tickets before they got to the base of the mountain….. (big mistake). When they got there, the train tickets were sold out and the road was closed off due to the filming of “Furious 7” (pretty cool). Thanks to Lissa’s brothers quick thinking they headed over to the Cheyenne Mountain Shrine of the Sun. After climbing to the very top of the shrine, Michael asked Lissa to take a panoramic picture of Colorado Springs. As Lissa was slowly taking the picture, Michael got down on one knee and waited for her to turn around. When she finally made it, she was shocked and of course said “YES!”

Sounds like fate to me! Well this bluebonnet engagement session was our first face-to-face meeting and I cannot say enough great things about Lissa and Michael. They are both so kindhearted and genuine that photographing them was a real treat. Even through the rain, these two were all smiles and kisses. Seriously, in between the picture taking and talking they would give each other a sweet kiss. Needless to say, these two are very much in love. Michael and Lissa, thank you oh-so-much for choosing amyMELITOphotography to tell your story. October cannot get here fast enough but in the meantime, enjoy.....
